Equestria is starting a new therapeutic riding and horse education program for veterans with physical, intellectual and developmental disabilities living in the New York Metropolitan Area and Westchester.
The goals of Equestria therapeutic riding classes are:
* To teach veterans with disabilities the equestrian skills needed to become good riders
* To use horseback riding activities to facilitate specific rehabilitation objectives for veterans with disabilities
* Improving balance, posture, coordination and mobility
* Strengthening muscles and mobilizing trunk and pelvis
* Increasing attention span and promoting communication skills
* Improving confidence and self–esteem
ADD / ADHD Parkinson's Disease
Alzheimer's Disease Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Blindness Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)
Developmental Disorders Stroke
Multiple Sclerosis Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
Muscular Dystrophy
      We are now scheduling classes for the Equestria® Program for disabled veterans that will be starting shortly. To register for this program, please Email your completed student application to our Administrative Offices at: applications@eqstudents.com or send the completed application by regular mail to the address at the bottom of this page.
